About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our exceptional team as a Team Leader. This includes responsibility for the day to day operations of the home, staffing arrangements, liaison with families around participants needs and ensuring the care and well-being of the participants is provided within a framework of person centered service delivery and respect for human rights. In conjunction with management working to provide high quality support to participants, family and staff under the NDIS model.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant Qualifications (Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent OR currently actively completing Certificate IV or above in Disability or equivalent)
  • Experience in supervising and supporting staff on a day to day basis
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in the provision of support services to individuals with complex to high support need disabilities and challenging behaviours (including medical support needs)
  • Understanding and commitment to participant centred service delivery
  • A demonstrated understanding and the application of Work Health and Safety
  • Drivers licence and access to a reliable/registered and insured vehicle
  • Demonstrated awareness of disability rights and issues affecting the community services sector
  • Experience in day program initiatives or community linking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet conflicting deadlines
  • A cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC) 
  • Working with Vulnerable People Card (ACT)
  • Cleared National Criminal History Check within 12 months
